From Synagogues to Side Streets: The Hidden Work of Jewish Architect Harry Marshak

The Rhode Island Jewish Historical Association presents a lecture and slideshow about Jewish architect Harry Marshak, led by Ruth Briendel. Marshak designed wildly different buildings in Providence — synagogues, houses and an apartment building — from the early 1920s to the 1960s. His clients were upwardly mobile Jewish individuals who sought to make their mark on the East Side.

You know some of these buildings, but others will come as a surprise!
